Japanese shipping company Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) plans to launch containership service Asia Chennai Express Services (ACE) connecting South East Asia with Chennai, India, starting from mid-December 2016. 
The service will have new port coverage in Korea and China which will offer direct connections to and from Chennai. Transit time linking South East Asia such as Singapore/Port Kelang and Chennai will stay unchanged, according to K Line. Five 4,200 TEU boxships will be deployed in the service.
